View Full Version : How to make a border?!?! evil_styrofoam 08-15-2004, 12:24 AM How do you make a border around an image in Photoshop 7? Margo 08-15-2004, 02:20 AM I don't have PS 7, I have PS 6, but it's probably about the same. I will give you two ways. Way 1 1. Make a new layer. 2. Drag the image you want a border around onto the new layer 3. Double click on the new image layer on the layers pallette 4. Put a check in the box that says stroke 5. Double click on the stroke thing to change the settings (width, color, etc.) Way 2 Hold the pencil tool holding shift to draw straight lines around your image. :D evil_styrofoam 08-15-2004, 02:45 AM it doesnt work.. i dont see a border! lefty 08-15-2004, 06:40 AM Or you can adjust the canvas size... go to image --> canvas size and put in desired number. Remeber that the border goes around the entire image, though, so if you want a 1px border you'll want to put in 2px so it goes on all sides. Margo 08-15-2004, 09:17 PM it doesnt work.. i dont see a border! Make sure your layers are merged. Flatten the image. kicker91 08-15-2004, 09:27 PM Orrrr... Make a new layer, select the entire layer (CTRL+a) and go to edit > stroke. Select inside and the desired width. |
