I'm GMT -5:00, though it's a tad annoying because practically everything I'm involved in on the internet is stationed in different time zones. I'm always having to remember the difference and count whenever I'm doing something that involves the time, whether I'm trying to make it to an event or figuring out when something took place.

"Soo...GMT +1, okay...that's a six hour time difference...the west coast...they're only four hours behind me, right??? Brazil, they're not too far off...unless they have more than one time zone...Hmm, I should just get up at 9:00..."

:P

EST, but doesn't it change between -4 and -5? I swear it does, because a few months ago at the bottom of the forum I'm pretty sure it said my time was GMT -5

Monkey Bizzle

Yeah it changes sometimes i think because of clocks going forward and backwards and stuff, currently at the bottom of LEIA it says im GMT+1...but its still actually just GMT, but online software doesnt take BST into account....or something

I'm EST, which is GMT -4 or -5. It can be either, because I've come here and it's said -5, but right now it says -4.

I'm also est, -5.....I'm almost certain that -4 is Atlantic time or is it cause the US has their timezones distributed differently than canada....why is everything so confusing

I always thought EST was always GMT -5, regardless of whether it was daylight savings time or not....it would certainly make more sense, wouldn't it?

i did a search on if the time zone thing changes for daylight savings time... and i can't figure it out... i am getting mixed answers... it is to my understanding that since GMT never changes because they don't participate in DST, then it makes sense that at some parts of the year EST would be -5 and some parts of the year it would be -4 but TECHNICALLY, EST is -5... says the internet...

We have GMT and BST though...thats it i think...GMT never changes, so even when we change our clocks and we still say we're in GMT...actually we're in BST...which is why i'm currently technically GMT -1...but its still classed as GMT....huh?

Im either -7 or -8. I never remember. ahh, If I'm -5, then you're -7..I think. Because you're two hours behind, so that'd make sense.
