Anything nice about where YOU live? :cloud:
Xaturna 08-08-2004, 02:05 AM I love Vancouver because... because... Well, I love Fraserview because... because... it's so high up, and we get a great view of the fraser river thing. <at least that's what I think it is, it's just a large... uh.. river of water...> And at night, all you see are lights. Plus, the air is better than some other places. ^^ I luv B.C. and Vancouver. and my home ^^
punkinardo 08-08-2004, 02:07 AM wow tat sounds so cool where you live, well where i live people dont signal to change lanes and lots of gangs are everywhere. infact i have some as my neighbors. my neighborhood has rude little boys trying to hit on me >[ well what i like is that i have a mcdonalds just 2 blocks away from my house. my place use to be a peaceful place i dunt know what happen to my old neighbors they were so kind.
Dude128 08-08-2004, 02:56 AM I don't like where I live lol
I suppose if you like living in the middle of nowhere but not really (I'm about 2 hours from New York City, so it's not completely isolated), it's ok, but I don't :P
plus all the people that have moved here from NYC and Westchester County but still work there and therefore make more money have driven the prices of everything up, and I just find it kind of boring.
that's why I'm going to school in a city, but it's not one that's incredibly large like NYC or someplace like that.
jazzberry 08-08-2004, 03:28 AM Ontario is yours to discover ;) lol
uh actually my area isn't so great, about a year ago there was a shooting. An a few years ago a girl went missing and was found dead. I live beside this complex where a lot of...bad stuff happens. There's tons of gangs around here and stuff. But if you're like me and stay in the house all day like a hermit, you're fine :D
Good things happen here too...I'm sure...
Pros and cons of the TX panhandle.
Pros: Not too many buildings, not claustrophobic, not too small nor too big. Good school. (at least MY school rocks)
Cons: Dust, heat, and all kinds of allergens. For example, I live right across from a cotton field, and I'm allergic to it. =(
kittycat 08-08-2004, 03:41 AM I don't like where I live, it's boring :P I can't even think of something good about this place. Unless you are a farmer or like snowmobiles. And the Ontario curriculum just sucks. The work is no challenge, I don't understand how there's only like 70% of students who are at "provincial standards" :P I could think of some good things about this province but I really can't be bothered right now.
jazzberry 08-08-2004, 03:50 AM The CN Tower in Toronto...haha, I've never been there though so I dunno if it really is that interesting
stargrl329 08-08-2004, 04:09 AM The only reason I like where I live is because most of the people I love are here. I've lived in the same house since I was born, and my cousin (male, 2 years younger) has always lived right next door, which is nice. My town is okay, but my neighborhood can only be accessed from the highway so it's kind of isolated from everyone else and can't be reached on foot alone, which is sad.
I'm going to live in Canada when I'm older. Yay! :D Probably Ontario.. because I have a couple of family members there, plus it's the place with the coolest name. :P
4sight 08-08-2004, 04:27 AM Well... What I like about living here is the fact that there is everything you ever wanted, and more. If you can deal with the traffic and the long travel it is the ultimate place to relax or deal with the better things in life. The malls are all high end, the restaurants are amazing and there are people that are from all over the world. I live in Scottsdale and it is a cultural mecca and you can do things here that you never knew you could do in life. The only problem I can find is the masses that come especially in the winter season and it get very crowded. But opitmistically it is a great place to live and my friends are very unique coming from a smaller town.
LEGALY 13 year old can get a job in McDonalds!!
are you sure that's a good thing? *child labour*
The CN Tower in Toronto...haha, I've never been there though so I dunno if it really is that interesting
nope not really...lol
hmm what to say about ontario...um..well it has its own lake..not that you'd want to go in it....
ok something nice(about where i live)= you can get wherever you need to without a car, most people are friendly...theres a tim hortons at practically every corner you go to...we have a farm in the middle of downtown, and each school has atleast 2 fastfood restaurants right next to them if not more
ham_let 08-08-2004, 05:12 AM The CN Tower in Toronto...haha, I've never been there though so I dunno if it really is that interesting
i've lived here all my life and not once have i gone inside the tower... =/ sure is nice to look at tho.. on a clear day, you can see it from the suburbs... that is, of course, if there is ever a clear day here... o_O
salomeyasobko 08-08-2004, 05:18 AM umm.. i s'pose the fact that my house is maybe like.. 10 minutes away from a nice surfing spot :P [i <3 the new freeway that connects my area to the beach]
Valkyrie 08-08-2004, 06:07 AM I live in a big city, so there's a lot of places to go. Malls, restaurants, and theres some theme parks within driving distance. The beach is near by too...but I don't go there often. Too many people there.
I've been to Vancouver, and I really liked. I hope to return someday. lol
jazzberry 08-08-2004, 07:14 PM yay for tim hortons on every street corner! Whenever we go to the states I always suffer from Tim Hortons withdrawl because there aren't that many there :(
lefty 08-08-2004, 08:28 PM I like that I'm only an hour away from Dan.
wait, wait, that's not what I meant. There's actually not much here. But whatever you want to buy, there's a place for it, because we must be the commercial center of upstate NY :P
And we have that cool discount theatre, not because I work there or my parents own it, or anything.
Ravie 08-08-2004, 09:00 PM It has trees
MaGiCSuN 08-09-2004, 12:18 PM i like where i live because it's a small village, people are nice here, we are very close with each other and it's nice and quiet. I wouldn't want to trade it with anything :)
Tsuki Usagi 08-09-2004, 06:39 PM Yes, the trees are nice here.
jazzberry 08-09-2004, 07:23 PM Our city is nicknamed the Forest City (seriously) because everywhere you look there are trees. I think it's good for the trees, but what a silly name.
Calgary has a lot of space with not as much people. Everywhere you see is green...and you go somewhere high enough, you can see the Rockies and the praries at the same time!
xstaticxpallorx 08-09-2004, 08:59 PM I don't really like where I live. But there are some good things...
*We have a really good mall and I can walk to it!!
*I live only like a half hour away from Boston, and there is always fun things to do in Boston.
