Can somebody explain a bit about php? How does it work? What is it? What's it for?

php is a serverside language such as perl and ssi.

it can do many things such as talk to databases, create things like guestbooks, forums, form processing, etc...

do a search on php tutorials and there should be about a thousand found.

php is a huge language to learn, and take it carefully. I bought php for dummies, along w/ another book, and i pretty much get it.
