View Full Version : Who is Inspired?
ginny_lupin 08-07-2004, 11:42 PM I was inspired to make a HTML help site (I wont give the link cause it's against the rules). I just sit on the pc all the time doing nothing of importance. So I figured I'd make a HTML help site. So I was wondering who else has been inspired in any way by Lissa? :cloud:

Shirl 08-07-2004, 11:51 PM I was. :) I came across her site a few years ago in an attempt to learn what this "html" stuff was. :D I looked at it and thought "wow, she's really smart". So, I started trying out a few simple codes...and now I am in the process of building my own website based on me and my hobbies. :) I can now type most html and css codes from memory :D Is it weird that I find that to be fun? hahaha
ginny_lupin 08-07-2004, 11:54 PM That is really cool! I would love to check it out when your finished. Please e-mail it to me - ginny_2009@yahoo.com

Shirl 08-07-2004, 11:57 PM Sure thing :) I've got the layout done, I just need to put up the content. I am very picky about my content. It has to be 100% KR (me) original :D I take creativity as far as I can when making a new part of my site. :)
ginny_lupin 08-08-2004, 12:02 AM KOOLIE! (Ilove that word)
Munchkin 08-08-2004, 04:49 AM I made my first site when I was really young. It was a "petz" site, (www.petz.com) where people could adopt petz from me. I was really happy with it, though when I look back now it really sucked. :P and I got no visitors. But oh well, I liked it. XDDD
Now I have a personal site, my own domain and yes, a petz site. I get way more visitors. :D But I wasn't really inspired, just sort of...well...curious about HTML, and I wanted to join the Internet community.
lefty 08-08-2004, 06:04 AM I think I first had a website because one of my friends did, and it was cool. I had a heck of a time trying to find an HTML site that made sense, so I used the basic editor (oh, geocities) and converted it to advanced (totally accidently, heh) and figured out a bunch of stuff that way.
A friend of mine eventually pointed me to LEIA and it was awesome because I could actually understand it :P
Valkyrie 08-08-2004, 06:23 AM I started to make my site, a few years ago, because one of my friends kept bugging me to make one, and so I did. I started off with frames, and I needed a lot of help, so I asked my friend for help. Sometimes my friend didn't want to help me, so she sent me to Lissa's site, and I learned a lot of stuff from the site. lol :P
weird girl 08-08-2004, 08:58 AM It all started with a forum that allowed HTML. :P I soon was posting in that forum, just so I could use cool HTML tags, y'know <marquee> and <font color=>? :P
I soon realized that HTML is what pages are made of, not just to make text scroll and be pretty colors. :P I saw a link on a site to LEIA, and my love for this newfangled HTML grew. :P I soon had an offline site, and I found that LEIA was the site I visited most frequently.
Ravie 08-08-2004, 12:04 PM My first site had music bad Raven *smacks hand*
MaGiCSuN 08-09-2004, 12:24 PM i'm mostly inspired by the people that had a cool online blog with nice layouts around them. When i went to turkey 3 years ago i had set up my first hosted site with a template from some site :P I though "yay now i'm cool!" unfortunally now i know it's way way more then just 'having' a blog :P haha
Partly with because of my dad, he's always telling me to learn HTML and stuff since he's obsessed with computers, partly because I wanted to show to make cool site which was made by me and partly beacuse I was curious about HTML.
