Hi. :)

I'm rennovating my site, and since I'm creating a table layout, I've tried to switch to SSI to make it easier on myself should I have the need to update the menu for whatever reason.

Unfortunately, I followed the SSI instructions on Lissa's page, and it doesn't seem to be working. :\ Where I want the menu to be, there's nothing, just a blank table cell. I put the "#include file" code where I want the menu to be in, the right hand table cell. Am I doing something wrong? (Obviously I must be if there's just a blank space, haha). Am I supposed to put that code in the head of the HTML code and put something else where I want the menu to be?

If it helps you any, I tried uploading it to a folder on my web space to see if it would work when actually on the web, but with no success. I'll give you the address and you can take a peek at the source code if it helps you any. :)

By the way, ignore the broken images, I just uploaded the page and "menu.txt" file to see if the SSI would work and didn't bother about the images.

Help would be very much appreciated. :) Thanks for listening!

Are you sure that the host supports SSI? The fact that the include line is showing as text in the code means they probably don't...

Hm...it's not mentioned in the host's FAQ at all. I assumed it was, although I guess it just goes to show you to never assume anything. ;) I'm guessing that it doesn't then, if nothing shows. Well, I learned somwething new from this...don't try SSI with Fateback. ;P Thanks anyway!
