View Full Version : I Robot... Little Hushy 08-02-2004, 02:37 AM Hey! I just saw this movie on friday night It Called I Robot! That movie is Sooooooooooo COOL!!!!:D kittycat 08-02-2004, 02:52 AM I saw that last night at the drive-in, I thought it was great. I was especially amused by the fact that the big computer-thing's name was viki :P Of course after seeing that Anchorman sucked horribly, but I wasn't expecting it to be any good in the first place. Little Hushy 08-02-2004, 03:01 AM My favorite charactor is Sonny :) ... Gee... I wish I could have a robot that dose every thing for you... **sighs** Makar 08-02-2004, 03:19 AM Really? My friend's brother went to see it, and he said it was a real mess. Then again, he read the book, and I guess the storyline of the movie doesn't follow the book much at all... I guess I'll have to see the movie before reading the book. :P starlet 08-02-2004, 03:42 AM I saw that last night at the drive-in, I thought it was great. I was especially amused by the fact that the big computer-thing's name was viki :P Really? cool beans, i wanted to see that film before and now i totally want to see it lol Is Viki eviiiiiiiil? kittycat 08-02-2004, 05:17 AM Horribly evil! I mean, she's a talking computer security system thing, how much more evil can you get? :P Roxx 08-02-2004, 08:12 AM really? when i saw the tv commercial for it i wasn't really interested, and the evil robots gave me the heeby geebies. But then it got really good reviews. Aussie Cap 08-02-2004, 11:14 AM I like the magnet-road idea. I wonder if they'll ever do that. starlet 08-02-2004, 04:01 PM Horribly evil! I mean, she's a talking computer security system thing, how much more evil can you get? :P Excellent *rubs hands together* If i'm gonna have my name associated with a movie, i sure as heck want to be evil in it heh sisqoluv 08-02-2004, 06:01 PM I usually don't like a movie if I read the book first. Luckily for me, I didn't read the book and I went to the drive-in about a week or so ago. I liked it :) *wants a robot to clean my room and do my chores* Little Hushy 08-03-2004, 03:55 AM I didn't know that there was a book, I hopefully will get to read it soon at the library sometime. :D ham_let 08-03-2004, 04:02 AM really? when i saw the tv commercial for it i wasn't really interested, and the evil robots gave me the heeby geebies. But then it got really good reviews. really? i heard it got really bad reviews... either way.. i don't think i'm gonna watch it tho.. the faces of those robots just look creepy... Little Hushy 08-03-2004, 04:07 AM I loved Sonny, who was your favorite character? brendan3eb 08-03-2004, 04:29 AM I read the book and have yet been able to view the film. Munchkin 08-04-2004, 08:02 PM I didn't see it, but my dad did. He liked it apparently. Luzee12 08-04-2004, 09:46 PM Has anybody both read the book and seen the film? I haven't read the book for a while, so I might be mixing it up with something else, but if I remember correctly it would be pretty difficult for a film to follow the storyline of the book. It's like a whole bunch of different, practically un-connected stories about robots that sort of trace their evolution from machines to thinking beings (the concept of self, all that stuff). It would be neat to see what movie ppl make of it, tho. Little Hushy 08-10-2004, 03:52 AM Has anybody both read the book and seen the film? Does anyone know where I can find the book??? Magln Meow 08-10-2004, 06:15 AM Go to the library, if you're not sure if they have it go to the library website. I would reccomend it to other people but it's only the NV library but I know where you live so here: http://web2.lvccld.org/ xero 08-10-2004, 06:29 PM I'm not much into the robot, science-fiction kinda stuff, but the trailers do look cool... Then again, he read the book, and I guess the storyline of the movie doesn't follow the book much at all... I read that book, but don't really remember it (my brother was into robots 7 years ago, so he had me read it when I was seven). Still, I'm kind of afraid that if I see it he'll think I'm sacriligious for seeing it after reading the book. Little Hushy 10-25-2004, 02:14 AM I finally got the I robot book from the library! Man! its about time!
