Hello, I'm beginning with using FTP and I need help. I am moving servers from stinky geocities to Magic-Host.

I'm using WS_FTP LE as my FTP client, but I don't know where to start. I've got a screen cap

well first off, you should get all your files from geocities saved to your computer, if not already. since im not sure of your host or anything, i dotn know if you need a folder web. the left side is your files on your computer, the right side is the web server. if you click the arrow to the right it will transfer files from your computer to the server, and vice versa. im not a good explainer, but basically its the same, but you need to have your main page called index.html or whatever extension you use. mkdir means you make a new directory(folder) if you want your url for a subdir like www.urlhere.com/folder just make the main page for that folder index.html also. if all of your geocities pages were all in the main part it will make it much easier because you just need to upload them over. you MIGHT need a folder called web where all your files go, but it depends on your host, i used to not have to have the web folder but then they changed something and my files are in a folder called web. your ss wasnt very clear so its hard to see what your main dir looks like on ftp on your server side. someone else can maybe help you more if you still dotn get it, im not the greatest at explaining something new to someone
