hey, i have noticed that people have like an icon by their name...and then they have something else written by their name..how do they do that?

you have to have over 500 posts... i worked so hard for mine.. helping a lot of ppl. now i don't even notice when my post count rises... believe me, avatars are overrated...

do they make like a special one for each person..because yours has your user name on it right??

once you reach the specified level, you may create your own image and link to it. the image is actually called an "avatar" which is a symbolic representation of the individual.

remember though...

1. do not speed post just to get more post counts under your name.

2. if you are answering in a thread, make it a post that brings something new to the subject at hand. none of this "i agree" and thats it kinda stuff. make your posts count otherwise they will be deleted by a moderator anyways.

3. ask if you have a question, answer if you have knowledge.

so what happens after 500 posts then? do you have to request the ability to have an avitar? or does the option just automatically become available in the profile page?

The option for the avatar will be in the User CP.

I wish I had a avatar but I need 400 more posts :(
