ok, i used to the code lisa gave for frames. now how do i get color or background inside my frame and on my left side? do i need to creat the pages. right.html and left.html first...? and if so what code do i use , i want a solid color on the right and i want my background graphic on the left: any help is much appreciated.

yes, create the other two pages.

frames just divide the current window into sections. individual web pages are being shown in those sections.

make the two other web pages just like any normal regular web page.

how do i make the right and left frame have a scroll bar? i need to be able to scroll down each side.

also, i have uploaded to yahoo geocities, so that i may see my actuall page better, this is like a trial and error thing for me.

so now when i work on my pages i should use thier html editor am i correct on this.
and when i add the code for scroll bars i need to do that on my index page right?

Yes, use the html editor.

The scrollbars should automatically appear when the content is longer than the screen.

so if just keep building my pages it will just do that, hey now thats what i call , easy. lol thanks
