::sigh:: Hey everyone, I just thought i'd let you all know I am leaving this Friday to go to the beach and I will be back on Sunday. If I had a choice I would rather stay home and be on LEIA, but parents are evil. :grouch:

Just thought I'd let you all know. :P

Well, I call it the beach, lol but we're going to my parents beach house. And with no internet and a town full of old people, Im going to be bored and miserable. :(

well, because I have been rotting most of the summer on the computer... I would much rather go to a town of old people and go to the beach... hey... maybe get a tan... lol :P

I know the feeling. :( I've been in a situation like that, except not a a beach house. Maybe you could make a sand castle outside? :P

I'm so helpful aren't I? :P

Nah, My parents want me to meet their neighbors. Blech! I'd rather be at my computer, when I live. :D

The beach rocks you crazy psycho! If you like to swim that is... I could swim forever and never be bored. Good luck on finding fun during the trip!

No one seems to understand. I live on my computer. Without it I am lost. :( Even if it is just a weekend.

I feel your pain Queen. Kind of; you aren't limited to 3 hours a day online. :P

Off-topic: The beach rocks you crazy phycho! No one can spell that word properly anymore. It's psycho, I think, that you meant there. ;)

..where?...like location?....The nearest beach to me is Rehobeth Beach, which is 2 hours away from where I live, and its okay, but there are alot of...weird people there. :P But Im not going to the beach, like the water....Im going to our beach house. Which is extremely boring and stupid. I'm only going because my parents are forcing me to. Any other time I usually stay home, my parents go every weekend, and they decided to drag me along. :(

Sephira

that sucks - but make the most of it.

not near the water? huh?! but i can understand the weird people being near the beach ::glances at her own location::

We are the opposite; I take every opportunity to get out of the house. :P Still, the beach house sounds BORING. Too bad there's no water, you can't even go swimming. Swimming's fun.

Shirl
07-27-2004, 08:06 PM
No, I can go swimming, we have a pool, but I'd rather be on my 'puter. :( I'm taking along my HP book #4, my laptop(we dont have internet down there), and my LP Cd's...hopefully those will speed up the weekend so I can get back home. :P

Sephira

No, it isnt. But I call it the beach because its 2 hours from my house(at the other end of my state) and its near the beach. :P

ahhh now i understand. that also makes it that much worse, to me.

In TX 2 hours away is like nothing. I don't call it the beach unless it IS a beach. :hehe: It takes 8 hours from where I am to get to my relatives in OK. Hm. Anyway...

salomeyasobko
07-27-2004, 08:36 PM
for me the beach is maybe.. 7 minutes away. bc they just finished a freeway that goes straight from my area to the beach :P

without using that freeway, it would probably take 15-20 minutes. i love san diego. i love the beach. i wanna go surfing. =(

Shirl

Yeah me too. It is likely I will get to if I bug my mom enough. I HATE family trips. Any other time I am virtually invisible around here, and now all of a sudden my parents are trying to make to go with them. :P If I put up a good enough fight I will get to stay home. :D

pom
07-27-2004, 08:51 PM
It's just the opposite with me; the more I fight the more likely it is I'll have to do what they want. And I will also get grounded or something along with it. I've given up. I hate family trips too. :P

:crying: The torture! It's bright and sunny and I get to go the ... BEACH! Nooooooooooo! HELP ME! Daddy I don't want to go swimming and have a good time.

Seriously ... I just got back from the shore and I would kill to be back there rather than rot my eyes out on a computer screen. You should really have better thoughts about it and just enjoy yourself. ;)

Shirl

Not me...every other weekend I am allowed to stay home while they go, and if I can help it, Im staying home this weekend too. :P

No, Im not going to the shore. I am going to our beach house....i just call it the beach. I would much rather stay home on my computer, and continue being a geek. I have no friends offline, and I hate going places with my family, they give me a headache. :D

The beach for me is just a walk down the road... well it's not really a beach, more like a gulf, although I don't think it's an actual gulf, either. :P
An actual beach beach is probably about 3-5 min. away. :P
I [heart] Florida. :P

Heh, I'm going to Block Island next week, and I can't wait. But maybe that's because going to Block Island (which is literally all beaches and stores) is more interesting than going to a beach house not near the beach..hmm.

Hope you have fun, anyways.

unless you're like me and you do your homework while on the computer... 30minute hwk takes 4 hours for me. it's pretty funny.

I do mine directly in front of the computer..literally. I just take the keyboard and place it between the CPU and the moniter (they're next to eachother with 3 inches space between) so I'm not tempted to touch anything, heh.

I only use the computer for school when I have to write something or print something.

that's such a good method!! i need to try that, since i have no self-control

actually i'll need to uninstall AIM and probably block off LEIA when school starts, or i'll never get anyting done :hehe: =(

at the beginning of last school year, i placed a post-it note that said: "no pc today! do hwk first!" right in the center of the monitor...

but that didn't stop me.. i simply got bored of hwk and went on the computer again. then after on the pc a bit, i started to notice that the post-it got in the way of EVERYTHING... (i put it in the perfect spot w/o knowing...) and then i was annoyed so subconciously, (<--right word?) i removed the post-it and kept playing... lol. i went back to hwk, i'd say a few hours later... eheheh.

the post-it is still there, and i even wrote a hex code on it b/c i an out of paper... showing that web design is more important than schoolwork... if anyone wants to know, the hex code was: dcda83, i forget wat colour that is...

I'll admit, I also have no self control when it comes to the computer.
I just might try the post-it-note method.
