I just camp back from a week at summer camp in the mountains, and I was wondering if anyone had any camp memories that are amusing or something. Mine this week was when I went down the zip-line, which is a rope that is 30 feet in the air and you glide down it when attached to a harness. It took me a long time to muster up the courage to get off the platform because I am so afraid of heights.

haha I have soooooo many. This one time this table next to us was cracking jokes, and the dining hall was getting kinda of annoyed, so on the count of three my table threw back their heads and laughed hysterically. We were so loud that the entire dining hall was silent and was looking straight at us and all you heard was 'huhahahahaha' and one of the older staff memebers asked us if we were alright.

*sighs* Camp just is a great place, no matter where you go.

Well, a friend of mine "borrowed" (stole accidentally) one of the deep end wrist things, and so everyone was calling her a kleptomaniac, and I made up the Klepto song. It goes to the tune of The Flinstones theme song (hey, she liked the klepto song :P)

She found out about my elbow phobia and started calling me Elbow Chick. It was great fun, those campy days.. :D

Well, the walls at this camp were old...
and no one had made sure that the things were still screwed in...
well, i was climbing first and approached the no fastened in rocks...

(luckily we are stapped in a harness...)

well i've got one. The day we all arrived at camp, the girls in my cabine were choosing which bed we all wanted. One most us were all settled in, we all just started chatting, then one girl sat on her bed and it colapsed, like her mattress fell right through the bed frame. Hahhaa i felt bad for her but it was sooo funny.

Alas, it is my sad misfortune to say that I have never been to summre camp. :crying: I've always wanted to go but never been able too. My best friend went one year and when she got back it was all she could talk about. *sigh*

When our rivals were our next door neighbour campers. They took all the sheets and pillows off our beds and stashed them in a wardrobe somewhere. We found them eventually, grabbed our pillows and whacked them hard. It quickly turned into a pillow war.

Heh, once i was in boyscout camp and we couldnt get the fire started so we used gasolene! We lighted the gas with a CIGARRETE lighter. It was funny! and later in the week we couldnt get the fire started again so we used gas. The problem was that we still were pouring the gas in when the fire was going. The fire traveled up the stream of gas and went into the canister. Then the dude with the canister dropped it and there was a fire on the ground. No body was hurt badly, though. we put the fire out before it spread. hehe i was laughing until all the pinestraw on the ground caught fire.

I put a sign up on my bunk that said "Old lady Margo sleeps here" and the next day it was gone. :P
