I'm anxious to get my site ready by Monday...so I'm full of questions!
Pagebuilder only offers something like 6 fonts...is there a way to upload more to the database?
I have emailed them all these questions, but their customer service stinks, and I've only gotten one reply in the past week out of 4 questions!
Also, Now that I'm using strictly HTML on my index page, how do I:
Put pictures with descriptions and links on that page

with pagebuilder you can click the "links" button and you have to fill in the url and the name of the link and it will add an link to your page. You can drag and drop it on any place in the file.
I wouldn't suggest adding more fonts to your website, because those fonts that are allowed in geocities pagebuilder are the most common fonts that everybody has on their computer. If you add another font as normal regular text to your website everybody without that font on their computer will see that text in "times new roman" instead of the font you have selected.
You can use other fonts, just make graphics and add the fonts there and then upload the graphic to your space. This graphic can be seen by anybody that visits your page.
but if you still want to upload it you just upload the .zip file (not the .ttf but the .zip file you had when you downloaded the font because geocities.com doesn't allow .ttf files) and then link the .zip file on your 'splash' page so that people can download it before they enter your site. So they have the choice to view it the way you build it, or view it in times new roman. But still i'm for the graphical way. Only use weird fonts in the graphics, and use for the base text a font like verdana, arial, times new roman or tahoma. Those are the most common ones.
For accepted file types on geocities.com see:
http://us.geocities.yahoo.com/v/filetypes.html
to add more advanched stuff you have to get into your files with filemanager:
log in > click on "filemanager" on the right > click "continue" or something like that > select the file you want to open and click "edit"
Hope it helped. You just have limited options to link things, and link graphics in pagebuilder. I do know that it is possible to link graphics, there is a button for it on top so just explore it a bit. It has been ages ago that i used that thing haha :)

Thanks for your help! it won't let me open pagebuilder now that I've edited my HTML. I've used the links tool with all my other pages...but my index page will have to be HTML for now on.
THanks for the advice on the fonts! That's a really good point! I'll just leave my fonts alone.
