Im ADDICTED to horror films! and there have been alot of horror movies that came out in theaters this year, and i couldnt go to c them :(.

so, when Dawn Of The Dead & House Of The Dead came out on vhs/dvd my dad was too busy to take me to the video store to rent it and i was also too lazy to walk 10 long blocks to the nearest bluckbuster (i live in florida!!) so i ordered them from Columbia House dvd and the 1st one i saw was Dawn Of The Dead, and it wasn't what i expexted!!:(

I saw the commercial on tv and the trailer online and i remember seeing a lil girl and her parents and when i put in the dvd what i saw was something else!

I haven't seen 1970's Night Of The Living Dead but i think that's what it was instead.
If anyone's seen it in theaters, did it look anything like this (http://www.apple.com/trailers/universal/dawnofthedead/dawn_apple_small2.html)?

i wanna be sure coz i think they sent me Night Of The Living Dead in the Dawn Of The Dead dvd

Night of the Living dead is an awesome movie (the black and white one is anyway) I think you should watch it if you're into horror movies. It's the best zombie movie ever :P

Anyway, I think there is a Dawn of the Dead movie in black and white too (or alt least there's an older version of it) maybe you got that, thinking it was the newer one? (I'm not sure)

I think Dawn of the Dead is a sequel to Night of the Living Dead... I didn't even know they remade it.

Or maybe I have no idea what I'm talking about, lol.

i think it was "house of the dead" we saw on rent a month or two ago. it seemed to reach a new low, even for the other "dead" movies....

*goes to watch "attack of the killer tomatoes" instead...

no, the Dawn Of The Dead I got is in color. it also said it was made in 1978 and the movie itself seemed pretty old (the acting, what they say in it and how they say it, how they act, etc.) school when i saw it. it for sure wasnt the Dawn Of The Dead that came out this yr! i could tell that.

The Dawn of the Dead movie you're thinking of is a remake. The one you got is the original. Night of the Living Dead/Dawn of the Dead/Day of the Dead are old movies - the first is black and white and the last two are color. The remake hasn't been released to DVD yet (that's in late October, I think).

why does it come out so late? :(
since it was out on march i didnt think it'd take so long to come out on dvd!!! (the one from this yr is a remake??)

wait! theres a Day Of The Dead too????!?! i didnt know that!

Movies are rarely immediately released to DVD; there's nearly always several months delay. It's a marketing strategy - you get people to see it in theater and then buy it later, rather than just buying it immediately. More money that way.

Yes, there's a Day of the Dead... It's a series - first there's Night, then comes Dawn, and then finally Day.

Yes it's in color, and it was made in 1985.
