I'm trying to set a custom image only all I get is the bog standard one I uploaded the right text

I saved a file as error.html

But it still doesn't work!! why?

are you saving the .htacess file as ".htaccess" and nothing else (nothing before the period, etc)?

Also, make sure your host supports .htaccess before you go crazy over it.

Hold i'm not sure I get it. do i name the file just .htaccess or error.htaccess

nothing goes ahead of the period.
