how to make a forum

ok ppl i would really like to know how to make a simple forum which is based on tables

i really know NOTHING about making forums and i would really apreciate any help i can get at all PLEASE!

i really need this forum it's vital for my website

(prefferably don't tell me where i can download forums i want this mainly based on text and tables no images and crap, yes i will have images for for post status etc.)

you will need to study up on a good serverside language such as PHP and a database such as MySQL. plain HTML and JavaScript wont suffice for a forum.

I'd recommend using one that already exists. Invisionboard took an experienced programmer about a year (maybe more) to write and if you haven't learned PHP or Perl it'll be very time consuming.

Just go to www.hyperboards.com . They'll give you a decent free forum with a URL thats easier to remember. Making your own forum is REALLY hard..
