Hi,
Can any of you help me?
I have been trying to layer backgrounds on my web page... using AOL's Easy Designer program. I cannot figure it out... maybe the program won't even let me. I am totally new to html language so any step by step instruction would be greatly appreciated. Also, for any of you who have used Easy Designer.... is there any way to add more font options? I think they offer like 4.
Thanks!
Kim

I don't believe they let you do what you want. Most easy designers and site builders are really limited. I know you can't change font choice. Also, I don't recomend the AOL hosting either. I used it, and found to be really limited.
I suggest you try5gigs.com (http://www.5gigs.com) I'm using their hosting, and it seems really good, though login is a bit slow on my computer.
You said you aren't confident enough in html to make your own layout, and I have a possible answer to this. You can use premade layouts. They are layouts for a webpage that the designer allows anyone to use for free, provided that you link to their site. Some places with good premades are:
Day Dream Graphics (http://www.daydreamgraphics.com/index.php)
NK Designs (http://www.nkuehl.com/)
Kali's Web Shoppe (http://www.xentrik.net/index.php)
LayoutLand.Net (http://layoutland.net/)
Love-Productions (http://love-productions.com/)
Magitek Designs (http://www.magitek-designs.net/)
If you need any help finding or installing the layouts, you can PM me. I'm glad to help!

You can change the font in Easy Designer, you just have to know html. Just go <font face="comic sans ms"> or <font face="verdana"> or whatever font you'd like to use. Put that in the advanced HTML section, and type everything else in there too.

Oh, yes that works as well. I meant that you couldn't w/out the advanced editor.

can you specify what you mean with "font codes"?
do you mean what you can put in a <font> tag?

I am looking for a list of all of the different font types (ie. Comic Sans)... I know several off the top of my head but I would like to see what else is out there. :read:

Comic sans ms
Arial
Verdana
Courier
Times new roman
Georgia
Helvetica
that are the most common ones, could have missed out a few. those are fonts everybody has installed on their computer so that you can use without any problems.

Mirna
