It's good to know that there are people out there who take pride in using their brains:D Now, Im about to be a Junior in high school next month, and my average is 3.8, which isnt far from a 4.0, but that only shows how well I do in school. People don't understand that school is just one of the many lessons in life. *Stellar, I would just like to say that if you keep that attitude for the rest of your life, it will really mess you up in the long run. Im only 16 and Im already considering jobs, colleges, and I've even started saving up to get my own place when Im 18. I had 2 older brothers, 1 of which is still living with my parents and hes 21, and the other has finally got some sense knocked into him and got his own place. Anyway, enough of my rambling, the main point is, if you want people to look at you as intelligent and mature, you've got to SHOW how intelligent and mature you really are. (and FAKING intelligence will NEVER get you anywhere in life)

Exactly. That's the way it is with me. I can't get my average above or at the 3.0 level. But that doesn't mean that I'm stupid. I read, and write well enough. And the only downside to all of it is math - I hate it, and honestly can't get the concept of it.

Yes, they've ruled me as deyslexic in a sense, but not because of reading, but because of math.

I got an A in math last year, but just barely. Algebra is evil and must die! But there's a scholarship I want to get that requires a 4.0 average and three years of math in high school :( I got the highest grade in English though :P
I can understand it, but it takes me longer to comprehend, and math homework takes me about an hour to do!

4.0? :lol: I can see that if you're taking classes on being annoying... Anyway, I don't care about GPA. They don't matter much. You can get a 4.0 while a person much "smarter" and "maturer" gets a 3.0. I pay attention to courses taken and effort.

As far as looks go, I think everyone is beautiful in their own way. However, I also believe that attitude reflects on how "beatiful" people think you are. And the thing is, I haven't seen how you look, but I have seen your messed up attitude, and that doesn't say much for you.

::shakes head:::D Simple intelligence isn't even needed to make my brothers look dumb...neither of them even finished their freshman year in high school, they've completely forgotten everything they learned in school period. One is a pothead, and does nothing else but smoke all day, and the other is a former felon, but he had some sense knocked into him when he spent a month in jail:D hehehe, now hes married and has a 5 month old daughter :heart:

As do I. I believe I am the only one at my school who actually enjoys learning. I love knowledge, and its great to be able to carry on intelligent conversations with people, without them saying "Huh?" at the end of every sentence!
