No. The only things allowed in signatures is text and smiles, the reason for this I think has to do with the fact that pictures in signatures would take up a lot of bandwith. You can include a link to your picture if you like.

I hope this helps. Have a nice day! :)

^but what if we hosted the pictures? would it still take up alot of bandwith?I'm not sure really, Lissa or one of the mods can answer this better. I think it has something to do with that it would cost Lissa some of her bandwith even if they were hosted elsewhere and/or that pages would load slower. Something along those lines, but like I said, I'm not sure.

I hope this helps. Have a nice day! :)

Ok the reason why we dont have images in the signature EVEN if they are hosted on a foreign server is because when people load the page and everyone has an image in their signature it takes A LOT of time especially for those dial up users to load the whole page. And with all the other images besides signatures the page would not be able to be viewed properly.

Supposedly we used to be able to have images in our sigs, but people couldn't follow the rules (there were size restrictions, etc) so Lissa disallowed it.

Yeah, I was going to say it'd probably be alright for someone to have a couple small images in their signature, but then there are people who just can't seem to stay within the guidelines and ruin it for everyone.

Gaia Online used to just let people go crazy in their signatures, and it'd take literally an hour for me, Ms. Dial-up, to load a whole page. Some people even put video files in their signatures! Now they have a restriction of 100K and 500x500 pixels, and people still don't follow them.

100k? 500 x 500 px? And people still don't follow that? I thought I was insane!

Some people would put very inappropriate pics in their siggies, and since this is a kid's forum...

^oo but maybe we could be allowed to use a small pic in our siggies if we have like 2000 posts or more.... ? Just a thought:)

:( oopsie...yeah I forgot about that. There isn't any point in speed posting, but it's difficult to explain that to the people that do it..... :::throws hands up in defeat::: :)

Plus, I find it annoying when you're reading a thread and there's these gigantic pictures every few centimeters..nope. Smilies and text are good for me :)
