I was working, so a co-worker and I stood outside and looked for fireworks. It was pathetic. :P

There's a fireworks ban in our area too, but my neighbors bought them on the way home from their vacation.
We're going to see actual (professional) fireworks tonight. And it just rained, so the ground will be wet. F-U-N!!!!

It rained here too. Our finale was cool. :) I wanted to light it but they wouldn't let me... :grouch: *mutters*

I went and watched it a bit (the proffessional ones) from my yard, but I decided to come back in and finish searching for my camera (there's a sale that's almost up). Since I live in SO Cali, I can understand the ban on residents using fireworks, but a friend of my brothers went out into the middle of the desert and did it anyway.

stupid virginia... fireworks are illegal here too unless they are professional. we went camping this weekend in the western part of the state and they sold them at walmart but the stupid campground wouldn't let us set them off... that was 50 bucks wasted...

We're so close to the PA border (where fireworks are legal) that we drive over and buy them and bring them into NY... we used to shoot them off all the time when I was younger, even after the cops told us to stop. :P You need a permit to legally use them, but we never had one...

I heard on TV that two children were injuried by fireworks. I didn't hear the whole story, but one boy lost his fingers, and I think his sister ended up with a whole in her stomach or something.

I'm glad they're illegal where I live (CA). Am I the only one who hasn't forgotten that big wildfire incident?

^ick. A girl on our news, she found an M80 in her dads car and lit it on fire, and as she was tossing it out the window it blew up. She lost her thumb and 2 fingers, and half of her hand.
