we had to put my dog to sleep 2day and im really sad. :crying: we've only had her for a little over 5 1/2 years and she was 10 1/2 when she died 2day. She was the best dog that i ever had. She was a purebred Curly Coated Retriever and her name was Bingo. We had to put he asleep b/c she had cancer. sorry to hear, i know how it feels. My doggie died 2 weeks ago, and its still weird around the house, and weird to think shes not there....:(

Yeah, when I was younger, 2 of my German Shepards died:( I try not to get really attached to pets now because sooner or later, it happens...

Aww... I'm so sorry.. :( Losing a pet it just like losing a friend or a relative, they're just like a human being. I hope that all goes well for you. :) Your dog was absolutely adorable, and I'm sure he loved you very much. :)

Thanks guys! thats my moms feet in the bg lol. i used to have 2 german sheperds when i was younger too, but they had to be put down also...

I'm so sorry that happened... At least the dog isn't suffering anymore. =( When I was a kid, my dog got hit by a car and broke his spine. He lived but he was paralized and couldn't use the bathroom or eat or do anything... so, he had to be put to sleep or else he would die from one of the above things... I was so sad and didn't understand. All I could think of was, if he survived the crash, then he was okay... but now I understand and that it was better for him to be put to sleep. It will be okay... BIG SMILES!!!:) and if you need something to cheer you up... try saying "Bing Durrh!" courtesy of Lil Sarah!!! I bet you can't say it without laughin!!

I'm so sorry. :( my dog had to be put to sleep a little over a year ago...it's amazing how much a dog can become a part of your life!

Awww. I'm sorry! :( That's a cute little picture there, she really looks like a beautiful dog. At least you know what it was that was hurting her and were able to take away her pain. I know how you feel, my baby bunny rabbit died recently, and if one of my dogs died I have no idea what I'd do. :hug:

*ahem* Anyway, yeah... losing a dog is really awful... and yeah, if she had cancer, she wouldn't be comfortable. Even so, I know it is really sad. :(
