I know lots of threads have been posted about this & I'm sorry but i can't get it to work!
Basically i've downloaded some brushes off sites and i've saved them all in my brushes folder where all the usual brushes are. The problem is though i can't seem to add it to my selections to use as a brush. When i try to add a new brush-tip I have no idea what to do because i'm not allowed to browse properly to add a new brush. Please help because i have no idea what i am doing!!!

I will be soooooooooooooo grateful if someone can help me!

Boy, I haven't done this for awhile, I started making my own - I'll tell you how I THINK you do it. I'm not exactly sure if these directions will be exact to PSP8, on account of I have PSP7, but maybe...

So you have gotten them in a folder, and I'm assuming you have them unzipped if it requires that. Open up PSP8, then either open an image, or just create a new one. Click on the paint brush icon. If you don't have the tool options open, right click on your toolbar area (top of the work area) and select it so it shows up. Now, on the box that opens up, there are two files/flaps/whatever. Make sure you are on the one that looks like a paintbrush. Now, on the right side of that box, you'll see toward the top a little paintbrush with the top of an arrow. Click that, it should drop down and select Custom. Now a new box opens up. Go to edit paths. Find the paintbrushes, and then hit okay. Now they should be in there. If that doesn't work, I suggest putting the new paintbrushes in a file by themselves.

do u mean u cant get them to show on your brush dropdown list to use them or u dont know how to get them in psp8 directly? some of the brushes you've downloaded are probably psp7 brushes coz since psp8 is the latest verson some ppl still have psp7 to use. if u wanna use the psp7 brushes w/ psp8 ur ganna have to import them.

to do that go to file>import (u dont need to have an open image to do this)>custom brush>open>(from the dropdown open the folder where the brushes are at, the default folder is usually my documents>my psp8 files>brushes)>locate and click to open the brush u want>add all>then "OK", and you're set.

when u go to use your brushes you should see them in the drop down.
