View Full Version : Jk Rowling Discloses Book 6 Title!
HermioneLovegoo 06-29-2004, 06:17 PM I'm not sure if this belongs in Chat or Nut News, but I'm putting it here.
JK ROWLING HAS RELEASED THE BOOK 6 TITLE. I won't put it here in case people don't want spoilers, but here's the text-only link to her website.

salomeyasobko 06-29-2004, 06:21 PM hahhah a thread like this has been started already. :lolol: but that's okay :D
EDIT: wait.....she....AHH!! i can't believe i missed it!! nooooooooo
HermioneLovegoo 06-29-2004, 06:23 PM I should probably look at the rest of the threads before I eagerly go and post news...
salomeyasobko 06-29-2004, 06:23 PM nono the other thread was about how it is a hoax, i didn't know she REALLY released it! ahhh!
HermioneLovegoo 06-29-2004, 06:34 PM I posted it on the other thread too.
I thought it was a hoax when I first read it, on the-leaky-cauldron.org, until I saw what she had written on her site.
salomeyasobko 06-29-2004, 07:03 PM oh my gosh, i'm going to have a heart attack, the door opened for me but there was nothing there!!! ahh here's a screen shot: http://img28.photobucket.com/albums/v84/salomeyasobko/jkr.jpg
i was so excited when it opened but when there was nothing there it was sad :(
kittycat 06-29-2004, 07:21 PM Another article on it with the title... http://money.cnn.com/2004/06/29/news/newsmakers/harrypotter/
Monkey Bizzle 06-29-2004, 07:22 PM JK Rowling is a girl? I didn't know that...
ProfBelen 06-29-2004, 07:29 PM JK Rowling is a girl? I didn't know that...
lol, have you ever read the books?
Monkey Bizzle 06-29-2004, 07:57 PM no... not my thing... but I always just assumed it was a guy!
ProfBelen 06-29-2004, 08:11 PM lol, the first time i read the article, I thought the name of the book was Harry Potter: The Truth. I was thinking "What a cheesy title cmpared to the other ones" haha, I got it now:)
Owlie42 06-30-2004, 12:53 AM no... not my thing... but I always just assumed it was a guy!
Apparently, HP was intended as a boy's book, so she used her initials so boys would read it. (Understand where I'm going? It's been a long day of watching small children)
MysteryP 06-30-2004, 01:13 AM Ooh, I'm happy! I had thought for so long (until she denied it some time ago) it was going to be "HP and the Green Flame Torch"...
ProfBelen 06-30-2004, 02:13 AM Green Flame torch? kinda redundant, I never thought shed name it that because she had already had the goblet of fire, it would have been too much fire.
Lennac 06-30-2004, 04:07 AM Is there a release date set for the book yet(if anyone knows)... need to start saving those nickels and dimes to buy it when it comes out :)
Monkey Bizzle 06-30-2004, 05:33 AM makes sense... i understand what you are saying Owlie!
Neptune 06-30-2004, 06:27 AM I don't think it was intended for a certain gender. You're probably right about her doing it so boys would read it too, though.
HermioneLovegoo 06-30-2004, 03:12 PM They also changed the name of the book from 'Sorcerer's' from 'Philosophers' in the US because they thought no one would read it.
Lîm_Gravecryer 06-30-2004, 06:03 PM lol, i found this some time ago on the internet:
Section: Rumours
Book Six is called 'The Toenail of Icklibõgg'
would be a nice name, wouldnt it? :P
georgie123 06-30-2004, 09:38 PM hahaha yeh, she should have kept that!!!!
I don't think this book 6 title is as catchy as the others...maybe its just me?!
Georgie x x
HermioneLovegoo 07-01-2004, 12:28 AM I don't care what the title is as long as I get to read it.

LesPaul59 07-04-2004, 11:35 AM Is there a release date set for the book yet(if anyone knows)... need to start saving those nickels and dimes to buy it when it comes out :)
Not yet... :P
HermioneLovegoo 07-04-2004, 03:41 PM Novinite was reporting in 4-5 months for the release date, but they also said Viktor Krum had been cast like 3 months before he was. All the people in the comments section of the site were like "what?"
MooMoo 07-05-2004, 03:20 AM Ooooooooooo*dances around*
HermioneLovegoo 07-05-2004, 05:35 PM I dont think it's true.
Goldi 07-05-2004, 07:11 PM I just want her to take her sweet time, and get it done properly, instead of rushing out with a book that may not be up to scratch...
Bebe x Baby Luv 07-05-2004, 09:23 PM nice
Ajbobo27 07-16-2004, 06:03 PM I have a few well thought out suspicions for the remaining books
1. The HBP to me is going to be Neville. He IS a half blood and his courage and bravery is becoming more and more evident
2. There will be a point where Malfoy has to choose to be evil w/ his dad or to save Harry(or somthing good natured like that) and he will choose the good side
3. Ron and Hermoine WILL end up together. I have reason to beleive so because in many plots the two sub-characters end up together and the main one meets the love of his life.
4.Harry will end up alone at the end. It is so b/c like spiderman, w/ great power comes great responsibility. There will be a connection b/w Harry and a girl but harry will realize that he cannot take it further, b/c he is aware of his responsibility
5. Harry may end up sacrificing his life and in turn wipes out both himself and Voldemort
Kittie 07-16-2004, 06:25 PM i dont think Neville could be the half blood prince.. both his parents had magic
he's just not very good at some things.. i think the HBP could be.. Seamus -- isnt he the one that said in the 1st book "i'm half-n-half, me dad's a muggle. nasty shock for him when me mom told him she was a witch" or something?
