some one has just told me i have got broken images on my WWW page but what does that mean cuz i new to all this website design stuff! lol

so i'm hoping someone on here can help me?!

anyway if you go on to my site which is http://www.leegrantfansite.cjb.net then click on to the www that where someone said that they are broken or something could someone please tell me how to fix this?

a broken image is when the image doesn't apppear, and you see a big red X (like the X from the "close current tag" and "close all tags" buttons when you add a message to this forum) instead of the real image.

you have linked the images to your harddrive, but then you are the only one that can see them. In order to let them show to all the visitors you need to upload your image to your own space online and link them with that adres

now is your adres:

file:///C:\Documents and Settings\Rachel\My Documents\My Pictures\leegrant1.jpg

but you need to have something like this: http://www.angelfire.com/crazy/leegrantfansite/leegrant1.jpg

Webdesign takes time! everybody on this forum was on that stage where you are now, exploring everything :) and we are here to help ;)

the pictures beside "UPDATES" don't work, and the pictures below "joined" don't work.

If you upload those pictures to your angelfire.com and just link them to that adress everything should work fine

because you linked to your harddrive you are the only one who can see it because it is linked to your files, wich nobody else has in that order like you linked it.

soz to ask this but the ones in the gallery dont work then do they??oops! lol

everything that is linked to your file:\\\my documents etc doens't work for other visitors, only for you.

The best way is to collect all those pictures and copy them in one folder on your harddrive so that you know wich one to upload and wich not :)
