I rode my unicycle for the first time since last year today...I'm going to be riding in a small parade in my Grammy's neighborhood for the 4th of July :)

Does anyone else here ride a unicyle?

Good luck in the parade!

Thanks :)

It took me months and months and months to learn...now it's fun to ride around the neighborhood with my brother and sister...and see all the weird looks people give us ;) Just today this bicycler looked at me like, "Where did your other wheel go?!"

:lolol:

Good idea ;) I'm sure there are many hilarious things I could think up to say to bicyclists!

I never rode a unicyle before, it sounds pretty scary. What is it like to ride one?

I'm too uncoordinated to ride anything with 3 or fewer wheels.

My mother used to unicycle...sheesh, she did everything when she was a kid...

As for me, I tried hopping on one once in the gym room, but it was so high and scary and I have such terrible balance that it just didn't work out.

Some of them are pretty ridiculous, the ones with the bright blue and orange skintight suits in bulky helmets, pedaling their skinny little legs as fast as they can up a hill...they look like insects or something...on wheels!

I've never ridden a unicycle.. I used to be able to ride my bike w/o holding on to the handlebars though :P (I couldn't turn though) Does that count? :P
I'd like to ride one though... unicycles seem pretty cool :)

heheh Things to say to bicyclists: "It's not nice to stare...but of course you can't take your eyes off my skills" :) "c'mon Slow Poke! catch up!" "2 wheelers are SO last year!" hehehe

Kinda hard to describe! It's rather unconfortable if you have not ridden it for a while...which I have unfortunately discovered. :( Your legs get a good workout, as they are what help you stay up! You can't put some of your weight on the handle bars...because there are none, obviously :)

lol...I like everybody's ideas of things to say to bikers ;)

I have a unicycle and I spent a whole summer trying to learn how to ride it. I can only go a few feet. It's waaaay harder than it looks. I used to practice in my hallway so I could hang on to the wall, but when I put a big dent in the wall my parents wouldn't let me ride it in the house anymore. I dented the wall, broke a glass thingy, smashed my lip, and got many bruises from trying, so I just gave up :P

I have a bike from my childhood, but its something you never forget how to do. I like rollerblading too! I bought a new pair recently. It makes me mad cause my foot grows too fast, and its not cheap to buy many pairs. Ive got like 6 pairs of blades. Its crazy!

Yep...there are many dents in the hallway at my house showing where I practiced :D Keep trying though! It's fun once you can stay up for a while :)
