Whenever I use drop down menus and I wanna position them, I put then in a div layer and position the div where I want the menu to be.
Try this:

<DIV id="name" style="position: absolute; top: 100px; width: 100px; left: 100px;" align=left>YOUR DROP DOWN MENU CODES </DIV>


just change the dark blue text to fit your site.
