Like how do you put it on your graphic? I'd also like to know about using patterns too please :)

Okay. I have photoshop 5.5, so it'll be slightly different, but pretty much the same.

If you downloaded brushes, you'll have to add them to your pallette clicking the arrow at the top of the brush window. Click the 'load brushes' option. Find where you downloaded/unzipped the ones you want to use. They should be at the bottom of the brushes.

To add them to your image, you first have to open an image/make a new file. I usually create a new layer for brushes, but you don't have to. Select either the 'airbrush' or 'paintbrush' tools. Then select the brush you want to use. Then click somewhere on the picture. TA-DA!

Patterns are really easy. Create a new document. Make it 1 pixel wide and two pixels tall. Use the pencil tool to draw on one of the pixels. Press Ctrl + a on your keyboard. Then go up to EDIT, click the 'define pattern' option. I've heard that you can name them in 7...if you can, label 'scan lines'. Open up the image you want to use. Create a new layer (or duplicate the layer) and go up to EDIT, then click 'fill'. On the drop down menu click 'pattern' then fill. You can play with the opacity and stuff. That pattern gives you 'scan lines'. You can do anything as a pattern, any color, blending, etc.

I hope that's what you were asking (and if it was, I hope it helped).
