What is the best way to get you site out to people? Right now I only have a forum, but I need to create a small community first inorder to have a successful site.

What should I do?

Advertise... join topsites lists, tell all your friends, sign guestbooks, etc.

Word of mouth is still the strongest thing out there. But for your site needs to be fun, appealing, something that will entertain people and get them coming back. If they like it, they tell their friends, their friends tell their friends, and so on.

That's how I found out about...let's see here...Yahoo, Neopets, LiveJournal, Gaia Online, Runescape, Ragnarok Online, the list goes on. In fact, I think one of the only things I didn't hear about from a friend but actually found using a search engine is Lissa Explains it All. ;)

It takes time. If you wait, then you will get a lot of visitors. I waited and have over 10,000 visits. Patience is a virtue...
