I like roller coasters myself, but I also like water rides. Shirl 06-19-2004, 08:57 PM Water Rides Rock!!!!!!!!!! LesPaul59 06-19-2004, 09:35 PM To me, a roller coaster can't be too big, too intense, too fast; it can only be too small, too weak, too slow. I'm a coaster nut :P ham_let 06-19-2004, 09:38 PM lol.. i'm scared of rollercoasters.. water rides are nice though... Dude128 06-20-2004, 03:53 AM roller coasters. and my favorite has to be Nitro at Six Flags Great Adventure in New Jersey. the tallest roller coaster on the east coast :P Great Adventure has some great roller coasters and some really bad ones- you come off the Great American Scream Machine with a head/ear ache, and Viper with a back/shoulder ache (especially if the weird restraint things get locked in place too low). on the scream machine, I should have been frightened by the signs instructing people to remove earrings- but it's because throughout the ride your head bangs into the restraints. also Superman: Ultimate Flight can give you a bit of a backache from the parts where you're actually lying on your back (basically on all inversions). but Nitro rocks :P Medusa is pretty good too, just don't eat Dippin Dots before going on it... not that I threw up because of that or anything :P I think that's what it was, because the next time I was there I went on more roller coasters, but didn't eat anything like that, and was fine. :P Andybebad 06-20-2004, 05:34 AM I like roller coasters. My favorite has to be the hulk at Universal studios islands of adventure. Magln Meow 06-20-2004, 07:20 AM I personally like the bumper cars! Then again water rides are a lot of fun! I went on a roller coaster before it was a lot of fun but afterwards it hurt my back. :( HermioneLovegoo 06-20-2004, 05:01 PM My favorite roller coaster would have to be the Xcelorter at Knott's Berry Farm in California... that's fun... u go straight up... and then straight down. I also liked Rock N' Roller Coaster at Disney MGM in Florida, and this one... I think it was called the Ninga, at Six Flags St. Louis. My favorite water ride would be the Perilous Plunge, also at Knott's Berry Farm... it has a close-to-90 degree drop. And I got soked from head to toe... and it was so hot that I dried off in 5-10 minutes. Rosekeet 08-12-2004, 01:12 AM I can't stand roller coasters. And I've heard that people who enjoy thrill rides have immature neurological systems. I like the mary-go-round. :) xstaticxpallorx 08-12-2004, 01:40 AM Roller coasters! I can't get enough of them. weird girl 08-12-2004, 01:40 AM I love roller coasters! :D I am an extreme roller coaster freak. :P AiJahya 08-12-2004, 01:49 AM Definitely roller-coasters. I think my fave is "The Beast". :) Roxx 08-12-2004, 03:13 AM i LOVE Roller coasters! but i must say the best "ride" i have been on is called Xtreme Flyer! its basically bungee jumping! its was the best thing ever! sebluver 08-12-2004, 03:18 AM My favourite out of all of those is probably water rides. I hate roller coasters, last time I went on one (it was inverted) I gripped the bar so hard I had those little marks in my hands from my nails. For then the roller coaster we went on before that, the picture they took of me near the end was hilarious- I was so afraid there was more of the coaster after we rounded the bend, and my face was pale white. What I hated about the inverted roller coaster was that these three year olds lied to me. After they got off the ride, they were laughing and saying how great it was, and that you barely went side to side at all. Well, what do you know, we went all the way to both sides several times, then went up up up, and down-where you're facing the ground on the way. sjb 08-12-2004, 04:28 AM i love water rides, i'm not a huge fan of roller coasters though i always end up banging my head somewhere...:( and it hasn't been till lately that i'm actually tall enough to go on all the rides and not to skinny....i once waited in line forever i was so syked cause i was finally tall enough to go on it and when i finally went and sat in the seat, they were like sorry you can't go on the ride you're too skinny :( lefty 08-12-2004, 06:00 AM To me, a roller coaster can't be too big, too intense, too fast; it can only be too small, too weak, too slow. Exactly. When I was on a band trip a couple years back, we went to Cedar Point. A friend & I waited three hours to ride the Millenium Force, and man was it worth it. I clocked it, the ride lasted five minutes. That is one serious roller coaster. Christopher 08-12-2004, 06:10 AM I love roller coasters!!! Six Flags Great Adventure in NJ has some of the best roller coasters. Nitro Rocks !!! :) Lissa 08-12-2004, 06:16 AM Honestly, Nitro has to be the best roller coaster I've ever been on.. the only one that I've been scared the entire time I was on it :D The height got to me, it was great!! :buckt: Great Adventure was fun, went there during my NJ vacation a few weeks back!! Superman's kinda fun too :D salomeyasobko 08-12-2004, 06:52 AM scream @ six flags is my fav. i think! i was going to go on goliath but the line was about 3 hours long and i got sick of waiting in it after like an hour.. because they were only letting one of the cars go [they were checking up on the other one] so the line was going super slow :( but scream is sooo fun i went on it three times. i think i almost started crying cuz i was so scared the first time, hahaha. but after that i just decided to not be scared because i wanted to get the most out of my money ;) Dude128 08-12-2004, 07:02 AM Superman's kinda fun too :D I didn't really like the Superman one at Great Adventure... the whole hanging there facing the ground thing wasn't particularly comfortable (and if you looked straight ahead of you you had a very lovely view of 4 peoples' rears). Nitro is definately the best there, and Medusa is pretty good too. just avoid the Great American Scream Machine and Viper :P also, Rolling Thunder (the wooden one) isn't quite as good now as it used to be because they changed the seats and added seat belts :P salomeyasobko 08-12-2004, 07:18 AM (and if you looked straight ahead of you you had a very lovely few of 4 peoples' rears). :stickout: @ six flags here the viper is actually pretty cool.. i just don't like it cuz it gave me whiplash in the cork-screw part. :hehe: are the rides the same at all of them? Dude128 08-12-2004, 07:31 AM are the rides the same at all of them? some are, others aren't. I know Six Flags built the first Medusa at Great Adventure, then built an identical one in California. they built Superman: Ultimate Flight in Great Adventure, then an identical one in Georgia (I think- or maybe the one in Georgia was first?). I think they also have identical Batman: The Ride coasters in multiple parks. I don't think the Viper in Great Adventure is the same as any others, though... at least, I really hope they didn't build multiples... after it was built they had to change the trains because the ones they had were so awful, and it's still a bad ride because of them, they make your back and neck hurt :P Sheila 08-12-2004, 12:43 PM I picked The-Merry-Go-Round, because I'm terrified of rollercoasters. And I haven't been on too many water rides. So...yeah. :) MaGiCSuN 08-12-2004, 01:29 PM rollercoasters, unless they aren't too high. I'm scared of heights  I don't care if they go upside down 20 times in a ride haha I love the ship too ! in themepark Efteling in holland we have a huge one, and not many people like that kind of rides. http://www.freizeitparkfun.de/Efteling%207.jpg it goes far more up, just close to the edge of going 'upside down' but not going haha. and waterrides are cool too. They always promise you not to get wet :P yeah sure, i got other proof from last sunday haha Love, Mirna animegurl65 08-12-2004, 01:33 PM i can't stand roller coaster most of time. i can do anything that has to do with water. like the 50 some foot drop at splash mountain^_^ bourdelson 08-12-2004, 03:25 PM Exactly. When I was on a band trip a couple years back, we went to Cedar Point. A friend & I waited three hours to ride the Millenium Force, and man was it worth it. I clocked it, the ride lasted five minutes. That is one serious roller coaster. Cedar Point is awesome. I'm going there the 28th and 29th this month, and I can't wait to ride the Top Thrill Dragster... **drool** I love roller coasters. lefty 08-12-2004, 03:55 PM I get jealous of anyone going to Cedar Point, because it was that awesome :P I think I'll try to take a trip to six flags before summer's over, because now I'm going through serious rollercoaster withdrawl :P xero 08-12-2004, 05:42 PM Roller coaster definately. Water rides are good for hot days, but a roller coaster you can ride any day! Has anyone been to Disneyworld...at MGM Studios there was the Rock and Roller Coaster...that was crazy @_@. And has anyone ridden Mission Space? I swear you can't feel your legs and you can't move anything. My mom was sick an hour after that :hehe: Peter 08-12-2004, 06:52 PM I picked the merry go rounds too,i really love knoebles resort,it sort of reminds me of the old efteling in the netherlands. i hate rollercoasters,i rather ride the bumper cars, hehe HTMyaL 08-12-2004, 06:54 PM Coasters! Whee! lefty 08-13-2004, 05:51 AM I picked the merry go rounds too,i really love knoebles resort,it sort of reminds me of the old efteling in the netherlands. Knoebles isn't too far from where I go to school, and people seem to go there a lot. I still haven't, though :P punkinardo 08-13-2004, 08:23 AM i <3 roller coasters. i have this problem is that i never scream during a ride and if i wanted to i couldnt which sux cause my friends says its fun to scream. but i also love water rides, especially when i dont get wet but my buddies do. =D muhaha rosepetal 01-03-2005, 11:41 PM I like roller coasters & water rides pretty much the same. Sometimes I scream just for fun, not because its scary but because its totally random :) angel_victory 01-03-2005, 11:55 PM i like those slow water rides when you in a small boat with a certain someone and around the ride is some pretty flowers. :) Lissa 01-04-2005, 12:00 AM *cough* This thread is almost 5 months old :P angel_victory 01-04-2005, 12:02 AM lol it is? Andy Fraser 01-04-2005, 01:32 PM I think the water rides are definately the best! Sphere 01-04-2005, 05:43 PM i think the water rides are always pretty kewl. never liked rollercoasters soo much. aerith86 01-04-2005, 11:26 PM I like rollercoasters, but not huge crazy upside-down, four looped ones. I like medium-fast ones and dinky little wooden coasters are great too. :) And who doesn't like water rides? Pitt 04-10-2005, 02:48 AM WATER RIDES!!!! Cherchezlafemme 04-10-2005, 02:50 AM ^ Did you happen to notice the date of this thread? -_- |
