I just started a new site, and I'm not sure what kind of thing I should have for the visitors to say stuff and things like that. I'm thinking a guestbook for sure, but I'm not sure which one's a good one, and then maybe either a tagboard or chatterbox for them to interact with each other and stuff like that.

Basically what I'm asking is for your opinion, recommendations, comments...etc. What you use for your site or what you like in other people's sites and stuff like that.

try a chatterbox/tagboard thing: http://chatter.flooble.com or www.tag-board.com

I like www.shoutmix.com better than tag-board but that's just me

I use tag-board for no particular reason other than it came up first in the google search results:-)... but you can change the font size and scrollbar color and stuff so it matches your webpage with tag-board.

Awesome! I went with www.shoutmix.com in the end coz I haven't seen anyone's site with that one yet...but lots of people have tag-boards or chatterboxes...

Can anyone help me with a good custmizable guestbook?

I use freeGB.com (i think that's the address...haha), but I'm not sure if it's customizable. Search google..."free customizable guestbook" :)

getstring.com (http://getstring.com/gb)
:) getstring is awesome. It's fully customizable, except for the part where you enter your message, but it's really great, and the default guestbook is kinda cute, unlike others which seem kinda ugly. :stickout:

I like www.bravenet.com (http://www.bravenet.com) for guestbooks. If you sign up there, you can also get a bunch of other things, too: a site search, a counter, e-mail forms, a forum, a guestmap... you get the idea, don't you?

I tried bravenet before, and I didn't really like it. I might check out getstring.com, especially if the default guestbook is cute, then I wouldn't have to customize it too much. thanks!

For a guestbook, try www.signmyguestbook.com (it's customizable and doesn't have adds except for text links at the bottom)

I went to www.signmyguestbook.com, and you have to pay 1.99 to actually use the guestbook...
