I hope I can explain this well enough...
I want to make small lines on a background image in PSP8.
Here's a link to what it should look like, notice the very thin black lines..

I recall having heard that I should make a 1x2 transparent image and color the upper half black, and then I tile it on the background image and it gives it the effect of black lines. :confusion
Basically, I don't know how to tile the 1x2 transparent/black image onto the background image.
Can anyone help?

This is how I do it:

1. Open your image.
2. Click "Effects > Texture Effects > Blinds"
3. You can just play with the numbers and everything until you get it right...but I fill it in something like this:

Width: 1
Opacity: 50
Color: white
Horizontal is checked
Light from top/left is unchecked. (honestly, I don't really know what this does :))
