My computer's become disgustingly infected with spyware. I've tried adaware, spybot, spy sweeper, and spy subtract and it's helped slightly with stopping things from being installed on my computer without my confirmation and it's reduced the popups a little, but I'm still getting crazyyy amounts of popups and it's driving me insane. It's been freezing and slowing down my computer frequently. I also tried Avant browser, but it crashes often.

If anyone has any suggestions, I'd love to hear them.

Do you get popups only when online, or do they appear all the time?

Some of the pop-ups may just be from the sites you view... Also, I had a worm, and part of what it did was give me pop-ups. Try a virus scan, too.

They just come up when I'm online as far as I know. I pretty much only use my computer to get online, though so I'm not 100% sure. I've done virus scans with norton anti-virus and nothing has come up, but I'll check that one out.

& I know that some of the popups are generated from the sites I visit, but they've gotten so out of hand that I know that's not all. The same ones like to pop up all the time and I get them when I visit sites like my own that I know don't have popups.
