Ok, on my livejournal (http://www.livejournal.com/users/mestuplife), I can't get the mood/music/links to look right. Look at my journal, you'll see what I'm talking about. Here's all the overrides I've used..anyone know what's wrong or how to get those things on one line?

This is the code for the mood and music table. I don't believe it's possible in the template you're using. The mood and music are in completely different rows. And since you have a free account there's nothing you can do about that :(
<table cellspacing="0" cellpadding="0" border="0" summary="">

<tr>
<td class="meta">[</td>
<td class="meta" align="right"><b>mood</b></td>
<td class="meta" align="center">|</td>
<td class="meta"><img src="http://stat.livejournal.com/img/mood/charitycam/stars/silly.gif" align='absmiddle' width='35' height='45' vspace='1' alt='' /> mischievous</td>
<td class="meta">]</td>
</tr>
<tr>
<td class="meta">[</td>
<td class="meta" align="right"><b>music</b></td>

<td class="meta" align="center">|</td>
<td class="meta">"Date ^^^^" -Sublime</td>
<td class="meta">]</td>
</tr>

</table>

However, it is possible in the clean and simple template (it's the one I'm using; two columns: links on the left, text on right), where the mood and music are contained in divs.
<div class="currents">
<div class="currentmood"><strong>Current Mood:</strong> <img src="http://stat.livejournal.com/img/mood/punquinheads/pink/tired.gif" align='absmiddle' width='40' height='40' vspace='1' alt='' /> tired</div>
<div class="currentmusic"><strong>Current Music:</strong> test</div>
</div>

All you have to add a tiny bit to the stylesheet in your global head:
.currentmood { float: left; }
.currentmusic { float: right; }

I'm not sure if you can do it in any other templates.

Eh, nothing worked...I'm working on getting a paid account, so maybe I'll just ignore it until I do..hmm..

On the clean and simple template, this will put the music and mood on the same line... you have to change your template first.

[quote]GLOBAL_HEAD<=
<style type="text/css">
.currentmood { float: left; }
.currentmusic { float: right; }
</style>
<=GLOBAL_HEAD</quote>
