How do I get my pages into the search engines? I DON'T want to pay cash for it...I do have meta tags but they don't seem to be working.

Help, please?

It takes a while for your page to be listed, you need to give the spiders time to crawl your site and get your page listed. How long has your page been up?

You can also submit for free to the major search engines.

In my airheaded mind, I somehow knew it'd take time...

Well I just did it only an hour ago ^^;; so..yeah, I'd take it at least 24 hours, huh?

It takes a while (around two months or so, at least that's what I think) for search engine spiders to get your site listed, but if you're looking for visitors, you can try this thread:

O____________________________O..two..two months??? I can't wait that long! Neither can my partner!!!!! She's a very impatient girl who vents by yelling..*wince* and it's not pretty when she does.. I have to find a way to get it up much quicker than two months..

-_- thanks anyway..I went to those links and added my url to google (hopefully, they'll accept) and to that forum page. I got it..so I just do what they suggest and Lissa suggests..

are there any programs to forward it? Like any programs to make my url at the top of a search list?

even submitting your site to the search engine takes 6 to 8 weeks. It can be up there a lot sooner, it just depends on google and yahoo and such. Throwing a fit won't help anything.

All you have to do is be patient and wait. And tell your friend to be patient also...

Thanks, I'll have to rely on word of mouth for now. ^-^ I'm sure my friend will understand: again, thanks a whole bunch for your help. I now have an outline of what I want to do.
