And so, the tense conclusion of American Idol was tonight, and Fantasia Burrino is the new American Idol. What's your reaction?

I have been rooting for Fantasia since she first auditioned =)

YAY! I liked Fantasia alot. They both are really really good. Fantasia just made me happy. I loved how she always bounced around the stage.

Haha me too! You can truly see that she feels the songs that she sings, and she has such a unique voice.

I'm so happy she won. She totally deserved it. I love her voice too, it's lovely.

i'm glad fantasia won! i thought diana was good also, but fantasia was on a completly different level. w00t woot.

I love her voice. I would find it annoying if someone else had it for some reason, but it's so fahreakin awesome when she sings. :D

I really like her I KNEW she was gunna win just like Ruben Studdard was going to. It's just that kinda talent really glows in her and I REALLY didnt want that other girl to win, she got on my nerves for some reason :lol:

There's something about Diana I really, really like. When she sung "I Believe", I was like, having goosebumps and actually teared because I was moved. Anyone who knows me well would know I have a heart of rock towards TV and movies and I seldom cry. I love her attitude, her joy in her voice even when things are not going well for her.

I liked Fantasia, I still do but not as much. I would have root for her if not for the fact the judges keep pushing her towards us. She's not THE best, Clay and Kelly easily upstages her. Suddenly, she's just like Ruben to me. I just don't understand what is seen in her. Why did they have the choir sing the entire of "All My Life" and let her sing the "yeah yeah yeahs"? I cannot listen to an entire album of Fantasia singing, her screaming is... I forgot how many times I reach for the remote to turn the volume down during her singing.

It was like she and Diana all of a sudden switched bodies or something...Diana got realllly better all of a sudden, and Jasmine got reallly worse.

I agree. I really liked Jasmine but then something just.. happened lol. I think both Fantasia and Diana are good, but Dianas personality was too... cutesy giggly for me :P

i was ok with fantasia, but i like diana better. maybe i don't know, diana was always smiling or something, and...it just made me feel like she really wanted to be up there and wasn't *expecting* to win, while fantasia probably expected to win...she was getting a little full of herself in my opinion. diana has my vote all the way...

I thought she sounded like Macy Gray too! :lol: And she kind of looks like Pink in certain lighting :P

Maybe she is a mixture of Macy Grey and Pink :D

Closer to the end I was really hoping Diana would win, in the beginning I did like Fantasia more but Diana did really improve throughout the show... now the Canadian one will be starting soon and I'll have more auditions to laugh at :D
