Hello, my brother and I are making a community site where people can just get to know each other. Im pretty much knowledgable with html and making sites. But, forms have totally stumped me. I pretty much know how to create them, but, I have no idea what to do with it, or what happens to them after you press submit. My hosting site uses CGI. Although Ive read lots of tutorials on this, it still has not clicked and is extremely hard. I am pretty much looking for a form like the one used to register at this forum, which I know how to create. But, what do I do afterwards? We want the individuals who will register to have a profile, where they can edit there information if they wanted to as well.

When I go into my hosting, this comes up:
http://thecommuntiy.com/images/cgi.jpg

I usually then click on httpdocs and work in there:
http://thecommuntiy.com/images/cgi2.jpg

I dont even know which cgi folder to use, I was assuming the one with the html documents. Also, does cgi have to do with having each member have a different password. Like how this site, you have to log in, and you can eidt yoru profile. That's basically what I'm looking for. Sorry that I made this too long.

Thank You :) :)

I'm not sure I completely understand what you're saying. You want a regular html form that uses .cgi to process it?
