what are topsite lists made up of?
like what kind of coding will track the amout of hits to the sites from my topsite list?
i know it's pretty general, but do they use html? php? java?

You can get them in most languages....mines cgi (boo) but you can get them in php, asp etc
Have a search of places like hotscripts.com for some :)
