Oookay. I just bought webspace. A domain name. etc. etc. ::siiigh:: I've uploaded everything, I have all my pages made, I've been using FTP.....I waited for a weeeeek...Now, when I type in the url for my main page (Ex: www.sitename.com/main.html) I get a 404 error. When I type in just www.sitename.com I'm taken to what LOOKS like an ftp thing. I dunno what it is. It says "Index of /" and then all the files and stuff and all I know is that it's NOT my site content. And yeah...so...help? please? Anyone? ;_;

what server are you using? and when you login are all your files there? i donno much about ftp but I may be able to help

Yes. My files are all there. And as for the server...? Sorry. I'm a ditz. xD Ehrrr...you mean like where my site is hosted right? Or..no? >__<
It sounds like...
main.html does not exist within your WWW folder.
index.html does not exist within your WWW folder.
You may want to check to see which folder you are uploading your files to and where they should be loaded into.
