im trying to make a site kind of like neopets...but not the same like it will have lots of different stuff...but i want

-trading
-shops
-auctions
-clubs (guilds)
-Mail
like i need that but i dont know how to get all that stuff...i prefer free but i know you probably have to pay for some of the stuff...as long as it is sorta cheap....

well, to create a site like neopets, you would need an extensive knowledge of PHP and mySQL and you would probably need a lot of time and a lot of people...i would start off small and try making little versions of what you want to accomplish, and then move up to a full site...good luck :)

Something like that is going to require a lot of time and effort. I'm actually working on something sort of similar, and learning PHP is the issue for me right now. I can tell you right now that unless you can find someone to host you, you're going to have to pay for hosting from a place like PowWeb (http://www.powweb.com). They're pretty cheap in my opinion - only 7.77 USD a month and I think they're still doing free domain registration. Supports PHP and comes with a MySQL database which is what you need for this sort of thing.
