Number one, I'm really interested in putting a plugboard up on my site, problem is, it's on geocities. ^_^ I'm a student not living at home with no money, I can't get a personal domain/host.

Is there ANY POSSIBLE way I can get a plugboard on my site?

Sounds like a hopeless case doesn't it? I have practically no knowledge of FTPing or PHP ... but I think I can handle the PHP part. I think I may have some trouble with the FTPing of it.

Does a comp automatically come with an FTP program or do you have the buy it? Cant talk about that here

I think a plugboard would make my site a lot more attractive to visitors so I'm pretty sure I'll do about anything if it doesn't cost me my precious moola. ^_^ Nyah!

You can download free ftp programs, there are a few out there, google search for them.

You would need php to get a plugboard, you can try tripod.co.uk, they support php or you could try to get hosted at pick-me.net (i think that's it)

I'm not exactly sure what a plugboard is but I'm guessing it's a forum or shoutbox like tool... if anything you'll need PHP. That means a better host - GeoCities doesn't offer it. A few free hosts that has PHP is

http://www.super-serv.com, http://www.hostultra.com (i think) and http://www.dymihost.com

As for a free FTP program, SmartFTP (http://www.smartftp.com/) is a good one.

not really, the plugboard isn't on a geocities page, it's on another domain name.
