ok results show on the 21st was ridiculous!!! what is going on?!?! anyone else in the forum watch the show? i think everyone knows that the bottom 3 really deserved the top 3 spot. do u think the voting is rigged? and for those who vote for John Stevens....if he does win, how is he going to be a POP singer??!? really now. oh well. i guess we realllly need to vote for the talent

The show is kinda stupid now. Wednesday night's results proved it to be more of a popularity contest and not a talent contest. It made me mad!

:confused: I never watched American Idol before. I know it sounds crazy but it's because I don't have cable. I only have about five chanels and that show plays rarely and I'm not sure when. Could anyone tell me what American Idol is about?

basically a talent contest for singing.
judges/commenters = 3 world renowned people in music industry.
each week the contestants perform.
each week, america votes by phone.
each week, one less contestant.

The three best singers were in the bottom three. I don't get it, but maybe people thought they didn't need to vote for them because they figured everyone else would vote for them???
i have figured it out.. IT'S RIGGED !!! i mean, didn't you notice they don't even tell you any of the statistics anymore? and the good people are getting voted off!! and the best people are constantly in the bottom 3.. and, furthermore, they rely on the hawaiian viewers to get more money for the show and for the network. it's not fun to watch anymore, because it's not fair.. :grouch:

I don't really see why it has to be about the best singer...some of the best singers in the world have the personalities of newts and thats why they dont make it....everyone left in the final now is a good singer and thats enough for me, gimme a good singer with a great personality (George Huff) over an awesome singer with a generic/dull personality (la toya/diana) anyday!

I think the show has gotten really out of whack that i just lost interest now lol

That was SO rediculous. I could NOT believe that those three were in the bottom! I got really mad because it definitely has turned into a popularity contest. Fantasia and La Toya are the best singers in it now, and Jennifer was one also. Grrrr, makes me mad.

Who's still in it? I haven't been keeping track much lately, all my favourite shows interfere with it.

My mum thinks I'm crazy, but I was upset when what's-his-name, the Pen Salesman got kicked out. He was cool, in my opinion.

lol. i tihnk jasmine is cool. but the last few rounds she was really weak, but the one last tuesday was pretty good. she better pick up her game. i don't wanna see her leave before john stevens... *shudders*

To be honest, i never got into AI, so i couldnt tell you anything about it!

yeah i think Jasmine has a certain range and limitations....maybe if she practiced more she can hit all these notes...even tho she still hits the high notes, i think that its only certain ones she can hit

LoL actually i dun like anyone in particular in the AI3, no obvious winners unlike AI2.

AI1 was the real deal...Kelly Clarkson! she's awesome..eh AI2? maybe Clay should've won...and oh dear, AI3? who knows. if the winner of AI3 doesnt deserve to win it, AI is going down the drain. anyone know if there's going to be a 4th season? if there is i think they should change the voting system..maybe if they let america vote then let the judges choose which to go from the bottom 3. hmm

Same here. When she was in the bottom three, I kept saying "I'm never watching this season of American Idol again if Fantasia gets voted off." :P
