You got out because of a power outage? :( Lucky. One day we had pepper spray in our ventilation systems, and all they did was air it out and send us back to class. But then we had a power outage, so they made us just stay in our 7th period classes until school ended, hehe.

we had a power outage at the jr. High, and all they did was make us sit in third bell for an age.

in elementary school we had a power outage once, but they didn't do much out of the ordinary, as far as I remember.

then in middle school there was an outage before school even started, but I think there wasn't enough notice to delay or cancel school (I knew about it because on his way to work my dad noticed that nothing in the area had power and called home), so we got there and they just stuck us in the auditorium for a while, then once the power was restored we went to class :P

in high school we haven't lost power yet, although the lights have flickered at times. we didn't even lose power when there was a tornado like half a mile away- it was windy enough for the rain to be coming sideways, even in the courtyards (how about that- the rain was horizontal even though the building blocks it on all 4 sides... but that's just how windy it was, with the tornado and all... usually if anything stuff just kind of swirls around in the courtyards)

My school has never had anything "exciting" happen. Since it's not cold enough to have snow days, we've never had those. And we've never had a power outage either.
I wish something would happen, then school wouldn't be so boring. hehe

On March...16th, I think...we had a snow day, but it didn't start out that way. They were expecting snow the night before, but not a lot, so they didn't salt the roads. Of course, we got more than they expected. Much more. Like almost 2 inches more. So they called a 90 minute delay, but they didn't announce it. So my parents drove me to school, dropped me off, and then went to drop my sister off for her rehearsal. I get to school, and find out there is a 90 minute delay on. So, ticked off for missing an hour and a half of sleep, I settle down in the commons to do some history homework. About 15 minutes later, they come on the PA and say "Staff and students, school is now closed. Would all the students that are in the building please come to the front office?" My friend's sister ended up taking three people home, including me.

My parents had to come back and get my sister and drop her off at home. That's the great thing about high school. you either can drive yourself or you know someone who can.

My school wouldn't let us out if Columbine hit my County (the infamous school shooting) lol. If it snows 7 inches, your on your own. We just got on the bus and had to sit there for 2 hours after school!

But I entertained myself by listnen to one o' them high-tech radios a boy gave me. :buckt: lol the buck teeth are the best
