how to remove this ^^^^ pop-up from inappropriate web address removed from my system! IE will pop-up after an hour even if you're not connected to the internet! it's irritating coz' i'm distured while watching a movie or playin' a game...

try downloading Lavasoft Ad-Aware or Spybot: Search and Destroy (search Google for the links). they should probably be able to take care of that kind of thing (which sounds like adware).

Are you running XP and its a 'windows message' pop up? I found them VERY annoying. If thats what youre talking about try this:

Start >> Control Panel >> Administrative Tools >> System find 'Messages & right click it to disable it

little hobbit>where is this system in administrative tools? i can't find it. the ones in my folder are component services, computer management, data sources, even viewer, local security policy, performance and services.
