my icon shows on netscape but not IE

You mean in the address bar? It won't show in the IE address bar, it'll only appear when you put it into your favorites.

and it seems to work (or not) when it pleases in IE.
after being added to favorites, it will work for a bit, then decide not to.

yeah it works when i have the site saved in favorites but it won;t show up in the addy bar. i just get ie favicon
