awhile ago i got a 2 strange emails in my bulk folder in yahoo that i've never heard of. the subject was "hi". i've also never heard of these 2 email addresses. they both sent me the same thing. there was an attachment. Just b4 i opened it i had a strange feeling, so i turned on my norton virus protection. so i opened it outta curiousity. then it said something like: could not open. then it said whats in the message and it was the My Doome virus! Ack! i was so mad! do ya think it could just be random ppl (i sign up for a lot of things)or this guy i know's friend...i heard that he's a hacker. so i dunno. how do these ppl get a hold of these viruses?! this really ticks me off...grrr... then, i had a firewall, and then i kept gettin these intrusion attacks! and it all came from the same ip addresses! ugh! why do ppl do this? doesnt this world have better things to do than hack?! what has this world come to!?

I've posted a couple times warning, and on one post, someone pointed out that the message.zip is a virus. You shouldn't open random attachments anyway, you know? the only attachments I ever open are from my best friend ryry, because I know what she sends me is virus free.

Why did you open them if you didnt recognize the email??....tut tut

Intrusion attacks dont mean "hacker" it means anything a trojan, a virus, a worm. First you should never open emails that you dont know the address, Second your firewall is alerting you just so that you know not because something got in :)

I think opening emails is fine (unless the person has a reputaton as a virus giver), but never attachments. even people you know could have a virus on their computer they don't know about that hangs on to attachments and sends it along with the picture or whatever

Even if it's someone I know, I watch out. They may have a virus and not know about it... I JUST deleted a bit over 100 infected files from my computer. I didn't download anything from my mailbox.

My Hotmail account blocks any attachments that are unsafe. When you combine that with my firewall and my antivirus, I'd consider myself pretty safe. I think most e-mail providers have virus protection, try playing around with your settings.

Spyware happens to anyone, one day I'll just be on any random site and poof there's a Trojan attack lol That's why you need a good firewall and antivirus program. I use Norton AntiVirus Professional and Norton Internet Suite Professional they are really good :)

Some people just have a lot of time creating all these viruses and sending them out  Never, never, open attachments or whatever from people you don't know:) (and sometimes ppl you know :( )

Please don't use the term "hacker" so openly. There are good hackers (commonly known as white-hats... Im a hacker!) too, you know.

Heres information on hackers... http://www.catb.org/~esr/faqs/hacker-howto.html#what_is

Thanks!
