Hello!
This tutorial is on how to make a neopets guild lay-out. This is easy if you have the right tools. The first thing you need, is a graphics program. These can be purchased, or they can be obtained over the internet. There are free ones, like The GIMP, and others like PSP or PS that cost money. There is also Paint that is probably on your computer already.
Ok. So first things first. What is your guild about? Well, if its about neopets in general, then you can get images from the rainbow in the local shops. If you want your guild to be on, Hilary Duff let's say, then you would simply search google, and get some pics from there. Make sure these are not copyrighted, by looking at the TOS or asking the webmaster.
So you have some good pictures. Pick a nice one for your backround. You can make your guild lay-out as big as you'd like, but within reasonable limits. To get the right size for your lay-out, consider using the printscreen. Just goto your guild lay-out, and hit F11. This will make the screen bigger, to fit around your existing guild top/side. Take a sreenshot. This is done by pressing Print Screen/SysRq. This can be found beside F12. Then goto your graphics program and click paste. This will then give you the whole window/screen you were looking at. Use the selection tool to outline just the guild part of the window. You will see little numbers at the bottom. There are the number of pixels that you have selected. Keep note of these.
Back to the backround. Pick a nice picture you have saved, or over-lap them. I will show you 2 ways to go about this.
1. Paint To do this in paint, open your lay-out size in one window by File>New then goto image>attributes and put in your spesified size, then open another window of paint. Open your pic/pics in this one. Then copy the whole picture, and paste it onto your backround. You can then make it bigger, or smaller depending on what you like.
2. PSP To do this in PSP, you would again open your lay-out size by clicking new. Then spesify the width and height you decided on. Then goto File>New and open you pic and paste it on.
Now onto the blogs. To make blogs, goto one of the space tools. This can be either the box, or the box with the shaved sides in paint, and you can have many seletions in PSP. Open a new layer, and then make your blogs in Paint Shop Pro. For PSP, if you wanted your lay-out lighter, this would be the time to do it. Goto layer one, and decrease the intensity.
Then add any touches, like naming your blogs with the text tool, it looks like an A. In PSP, you might want to think about rotating the text to give it a new look. Another thing to do would be to make the colours around your guild match the ones inside your guild. If you have images you collected over, you may want to put those on there too. For example, if you have a Neopet, you could make him/her hanging off one of the blogs, and ect.
