Do you automatically become one after x amount of posts? Or do you have to be appointed?

Heh no, Mods are chosen by Lissa and generally the rest of us 'approve' them first...we only get new mods as and when we need them.

We haven't had one of these in a while. I think it's one of those "it's quiet, too quiet" things. If you actually notice the lack of such, it'll happen.

Some mods had thousands of posts before they became mods, others had virtually no posts at all. Sending presents to the administrator helps achieving the goal. ;)

I used to want to be a mod really bad, at first. but then I fullfilled my need for power by out and making my own forum :lol: so now I'm a mod on lots of boards, and if I ever mod this one, great, if not, then oh well, you know? It's not my dream to be a mod anymore, since I'm already one on many, many boards.

I'm a mod at both of the main forums I go to, The other is because a really good friend of mine is the admin for it lol :lol:
