The message is from "AIM System Msg" and always says something about someone else signed on from another location... I have gotten it about 4 times, and some other people also...

I use AOL and I have the AIM. When I'm on AOL and go on AIM under the same screen name, it lets me know that my screen name is being used under more than one location (AOL and AIM). This also happens when I use Meca. Meca allows you to use one program to sign on to AIM, YIM, etc all in one program.

well the only AIM trouble is trying to find out who XDeathxKittyx is :lol: I think i added her and forgot who it was :/ darn

that message means that someone else is on your screen name at the same time as you. it might be that you're on AIM and on AOL [for the same screen name] at the same time, like sisqoluv said or.. someone found out your password and is trying to hack into your account :confusion if i were you, i would change the password just in case [unless its you signing on from AOL :D]

This was happening to everyone I was talking to... (Which was just two other people :P) I guess I should change my password, since it is the one I always use :P

I have a few hundred people on my buddylist, and I only talk to two of them (every now and then), lol. I don't remember who half those people are... Some I haven't talked to in years. :D

I haven't received that message on AIM before, only MSN.

I've gotten that message when I get logged out, and then I log back on.

The weird thing was I kept (And I still do sometimes) get the message, and it is for all my linked screen names at almost the same time o_0 And I got it on a new screenname.

I get that sometimes when I get kicked off the internet and didn't properly exit AIM and when I sign back on it tells me that.

I've never gotten that before, but I don't have AIM anymore cause my sister doesn't approve of it and since it is the Family it has be deleted..I dunno..have you tried to re-download it?

I get that all of the time. Because I have both AOL and AIM...bu different SNs for both. And everytime I get kicked offline, and sign back on - I get that message. I just close it out - and everything is fine.

I always get that on MSN.

This normally comes up when you either sign on to AIM on a cell phone (and forget to sign off) or sign on to AOL with the same SN, AS WELL as signing on to the aim program...

lol, well we have 2 computers at our house so sometimes the internet on one doesn't work, I go to the other one and log on. then the internet works, so i go back to the first one and log on again, and that message pops up. just cancel it, no big deal.

Rosepetal, Please try take notice to when a thread was last posted in before adding your own post....this thread is from many many months ago, as have a lot of the ones youve been posting in lately. It's generally considered by most to be VERY annoying when someone bumps a load of old threads! Thanks :)
