It works the same way with any size text.

I don't think you can unoutline text. You're just going to have to retype the text onto the background.

Oh..something I just thought about...you didn't leave the text as a selection, did you? That could be causing the problem. Change the text to a vector and you might not have the problem anymore.

Im not sure in PSP8, but I have PSP7, and when you goto edit your text, in that window theres options to change the border, and the fill. Would that be it?

Applying text in PSP8 is different than in PSP7, because there's a toolbar for the font options in PSP8, whereas it's a part of the text box you type in, in PSP7.

Okay, to change the outline, there should be an option that says "Stroke width (pixels)." Make sure that is at 0.0, otherwise you'll get an outline around your text. If you want your text "fuzzy" and not "clear," then make sure there is a check in the box that says "Anti-alias."

when i put the stroke width to 0.0 none of the text shows up. and the lesser i put it like 1.0 its still outlined...

Do you have both your foreground and background colors showing up, or is one of them disabled for the text thing? Changing the stroke width to 0.0 pixels should have worked to make it not outlined anymore. Are you sure that you're not just looking the regular text thinking that it's outlined?

Maybe try taking a screenshot of your settingx, upload the pic to the net, and put the link to the pic here so I can see if maybe something in your settings is messing you up.

um...how do you take a screenshot?

To take a screenshot, you hit the Print Scrn button. It's in between the F12 and Scroll Lock buttons. After you hit that button, you paste it as a new image in PSP. :)

You have your stroke width set to 0.8 px. Set it to 0.0 px and you won't have the outline anymore.

if you are talking about a solid outline then try this:

open new image
make background color the color that you want to make the border from
type some text (make sure 'vector' is on before typing text)
go to Selections > from vector object
go to Selections > modify > expand
choose amount of pixels to expand
go to edit > copy merged

then go to your excisting image and click ctrl + v

that's all :)

if not, ignore this post completely :P

yea..but when i put it down to 0.0px there's no text...: http://img42.photobucket.com/albums/v129/smileygurl119/Image2.jpg ....

MaGiCSuN - i dont know if it did work or not but i had to fill it in, but i want to leave it permanently so i dont have to fill it in all the time...

The text is there, you just don't see it because you're typing white text onto a white background.

oh, so i just switch the white to black or to a darker color and see if it works?
