i made a layout using photoshop and i got a place on geocities to put my site i just dunno how to put the layout on the site..:((
i know this sounds stupid but it's my first time to make a site
so help!!!

Well yeah you gotta be more specific i'm afraid.

Because what do you want? tables? div's? also you made the image, but for what? you want to repeat the background? or use a pop-up? There are so many options that we really dont' know where to start.

sorry, i'm just new to thwt kind of stuff....
so i wanted to make a table on the left and repeat the layout while veiwing all the pages....close enough?!?

In order to have it work in tables you need to slice the image. Search on www.google.com for "photoshop slicing image tutorial" or something like that.

You could also use div's, they don't use a sliced image, you can just use your full image all together.

Maybe you could upload your layout? so that we can see it? So you make a page and put the graphic on it and post the url of the page here. That will help us some more

that was the problem in the first place....
this thing i modified in photoshop so it's ".psd"
and whenever i write up it's name nothin appears

Try saving your layout into .gif format. That should work

after clicking "save" you click on the dropdown menu and choose .gif or if it's not there you choose "all files" and then type in YOURIMAGENAME.gif and save it. Change YOURIMAGENAME to the name of your layout image.

it kept on saving it ".gif.psd" !!!

don't choose "save" but "save as.."

otherwise copy your layout, paste it as a new image and then save it as .gif

ok, then we got the answer too :) you can't save with the trial into .gif *smart trick from photoshop*

Do you got any other graphic program editors on your pc other then photoshop? otherwise you've got no option then getting another trial from another program that does saves .gif like paintshoppro www.jasc.com
